What is the cost of hardwood flooring?
I recently decided that I was going to pull up my carpet and sand, resurface and stain my hardwood floors. I want to do three different areas. The living room (13×17), the dining room (11×7) and the hallway (8×3). I got an estimate and the guy said that he could do everything for under 0.00. Does this seem like a good price? Is it too much or to little?

Very good price at just under 3$ a s/f.. If his workmanship, insurance and references checks out, and do check them out , its a good deal.
Make sure exactly whos doing what. Are you removing furniture and carpet? Who is to dispose of the carpet? These are some thing that are not discussed and may or may not lead to other charges.
Get everything in writing to protect both of you.
